Trinethra Supermarket: Your Go-To Indian Grocery Destination in San Jose

They have all the staples. Decent but not as comprehensive as the Sunnyvale Indian store

One of the great selection Indian supermarket in San Jose. I like to shop here for fresh vegetables, Indian spices, and Indian chai tea. I like Indian food and love to cook diverse food .Highly recommended Trinethra Supermarket!

I gave them 5 stars because of their cashier who is super nice. This store is recommended by my Indian friend and I would say it didn’t disappoint me at all. I got what I was looking for. I suggest that they should put a price tag for their items.

Store is conveniently located off hwy 85. Large parking lot in front of the store. Store is neat and clean and well organized. Aisles are wider than most other Indian grocery stores. Large selection of frozen foods, packed and fresh groceries. Separate Pooja item shelves. Service is quick. Prices are comparable with any other store. Highly recommended.

Overall decent store. I just have a small request for the managers, to try keep the bulk candy/chocolate prices at a discounted rate, at a comparable price range with the market,-as I myself checked online. My kids picked a sealed 12pack bulk box of 'Kit-Kit Santa chocolates' , which must have been charged to us at $45.48 at store. I failed to notice it earlier during item-scanning, as I was busy putting the items on the cashier counter and double-checking the screen for accuracy of the scanned items. Though we did see the cashier open & count the bulk pack box of chocolates and then scanning 1 single pack from it for price-check, but I didn't understand it at the time, whereas he should have ideally scanned the whole box for the bar-price. Meanwhile we just finished the payment process in rush to allow other people in line, and left from the store. After coming home, when I later reviewed the bill and noticed the price, I called the store immediately to check about the seemingly high-price for the bulk pack of chocolates, as compared to other stores /or online shops. Then the same cashier picked-up and explained to me saying "simply because it was 12 times the listed price of 1 chocolate bar, that was $3.79". I checked again if there was no combo (or bulk) price, to which he replied "No mam". After that I could give no more comments to argue with the employees about such bizarre /& arbitrarily way of heavy pricing of bulk items!! If such is the case, then one can't think of bulk shopping, unless they are thoughtfully & strategically priced..!! And this is disheartening as we trusted this store now for a couple of years and liked its convenient location from our place. Over the Last years we even had some Scanning issues, reportedly due to some new faulty payment systems, but they were at-least kind enough to have refunded me for any faultily double-scanned items if I brought the original bill back to them even after 2-3 months.

Good Indian store especially for Telugus. Most of the items of common use in Indian household are available here. Good customer attention and helpful staff . However compared to other Indian stores, the prices are a bit on the higher side

My wife buys most of the vegetables for our house at Trinerthra Supermarket. They have a great produce department and quality excellent.

A great store in San Jose to buy Indian spices, vegetables and fruits. A lot of Indian snacks and sweets are also available here.
